Jesmin Basanti Finley is a passionate family law attorney who has dedicated her practice to assisting clients and families navigate this complex legal process. As a skilled trial attorney,
Jesmin has tried several cases in Family Court with success. Although always prepared to use her extensive legal knowledge and trial skills in the courtroom, Jesmin is also known to use alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediations and negotiations, to ensure the best outcome for her clients. Jesmin’s creative, solution-oriented, style has proven to be invaluable to her clients.
After obtaining her law degree from Western New England University School of Law in Massachusetts, Jesmin began her career as a Corporate Lobbyist in Connecticut, dealing with
State and Federal legislative issues. During her time in law school, Jesmin worked for the Governor of Connecticut and assisted the law school in winning back-to-back Moot Court
competitions. Since moving to Louisiana, Jesmin has focused her practice on Family Law, and now with 17 years of experience, the benefits her clients reap from her skills and knowledge are innumerable.
In addition to her private practice, Jesmin has volunteered as a pro bono attorney through Southeast Louisiana Legal Services and served as the 22nd Judicial District Court Family Law Chair in 2016 and the Women in Law Chair in 2019, and recently honored with the 2024 Century Club Award at the Louisiana Supreme Court.
In her free time, Jesmin enjoys traveling, going to concerts and spending time with her husband and two children.

As a child of divorce, Chandler McCoy knows how difficult divorce and family law issues can be on families, especially the children, and she brings that unique perspective to the representation of her clients. While she does not yet have any children of her own, she has two yellow labs that she considers her children. In her spare time, you’ll find Chandler taking hundreds of photos of her pups or watching LSU or the Saints play football.
